I like to paint characters and especially I like to work with skin tones. I am trying to find the essence of the character. Usually I try find something that will be hard to do so that the whole process becomes a challenge. Sometimes this result in that I spend hours on a skirt to be right and I miss that the whole anatomy is out of order. Maybe in the future I will play more with interesting backgrounds but at the moment it does not interest me that much. In a computer game everything is usually full on but when I paint on my own I want it to be more subtle and that you pick it up after spending some time with the painting.

In my day time I work as character modeller for a games company and in my sparetime I like paint on the computer. I got some of my early work included in books but at that point I used to start with a photo and paint over that to get the basic structure in place. Now i paint from scratch and it is more of a challenge and meditation. I also like to do yoga and take long walks.
